I like the fact that they have unusual but pretty items. This store is very different from furniture and lighting stores in Charleston..
Beautiful - unusual light fixtures, furniture, paintings, and other accessories. Every time I go there I see something I want.
I purchased a large and expensive piece of art and the only receipt of the transaction I received was from paypal. I never received an order confirmation from Candelabra or any type of acknowledgement of the order. I called Candelabra a few days later and a rude woman on the phone told me that they would email me a confirmation when the item ships. She acted like she was doing me a favor by talking to me. Unsurprisingly, I never received any emails from them afterward. I was contacted by the shipping company several days later to arrange delivery.
Looking at their website, you would think it was a bigger company, with an actual focus on customer service.
Charleston needs more store like this.
Needless to say, I will not do business with Candelabra again
WARNING: Read the small print and call before you order anything. I ordered a pillow and am stunned to find that they DO NOT ALLOW RETURNS ON TEXTILES. No where is the simple statement Final Sale to be found, instead you must click on Terms and Conditions and read. Since every online retailer allows returns of non custom merchandise I did not look at the fine print. Thankfully it is one pillow, had I placed an extremely expensive order I would be in tears instead of just angry. DO NOT TRUST THIS RETAILER, people who quote the fine print are not ethical.
Terrible customer service, overpriced, and because they do not help you, you might as well order online, with a better return policy at a less price.
This company along with their store Lyndon Leigh can be described as a company that may look good, but the level of customer service a client receives is deplorable. I just purchased a new home and went into Lyndon Leigh and loved the furniture. The owner spoke to me and asked me if I needed assistance I said yes I have a whole house to furnish and she directed me to Carly a staff person. Carly came out to measure my home and was suppose to come up with a floor plan and design and make some selections from pieces they have for my home. I never heard from Carly, she did not create a design, she did not select pieces. Nothing!!!! And I never heard from her ever again. Months later I went into the Candelabra store to see if i could find the owner so as to make her aware that her staff are incompetent. I spoke with Elizabeth who said she was the manager and that it was her fault that she had over loaded Carly with work at the Lyndon Leigh store, and that she would deal with it. I received a silly message from Elizabeth via email with a kind of flip attitude regarding what happened. I still had a whole house to furnish, but no one seemed eager to provide me with assistance or help. So I guess they did not want my $50K - $100K worth of business. But this seems to be the norm in Charleston as I have had other bad experiences with furniture companies in the area.
