So cool, we stayed 2 nights. The food is terrible and you don't get any sleep but still fun and very much worth going. I think they could try to run things better. We threw away our breakfast because there was no salt and pepper for our eggs and potatoes. They finally brought it out after we had tossed ours. You can prepare cheap food for large groups without it tasting so cheap. Would be nice if all groups (I was where the women sleep)were told that they are not allowed to get up before reveille and wake everyone up with their darn blow dryers and being loud at 4am. Almost like they thought that since they were in the bathroom they could be as loud as they wanted, but not really how a ship like that works. I have heard that in Norfolk VA there is a similar experience but family groups get to stay together instead of the strict separation here of men only and women only sleep areas. They played a movie sat. night but took them a while to figure out how to get it to play, then it messed up but none of the staff had stayed in the theater so it took a while to find someone to fix it, just hard with little ones and it was an animated movie. Again, still really cool that you are sleeping on an aircraft carrier.

We did a Cub Scout camping trip on The Yorktown. It was an amazing opportunity to expose my 7 year old to the times of his great-grandparents. I cannot explain the gratitude I have for what our veterans have done for the country, but I will always support efforts like the Yorktown museum so that younger generations can learn from their sacrifice. It is well worth your day in Charleston.

Admission was $22 to tour a battleship, a submarine, and an aircraft carrier. We went through pretty quickly, and still spent about 4 hours to complete all 3 ship tours. There were many planes and helicopters to check out. To end the experience, the Vietnam simulation let you get in several old vehicles and bunker style hideouts. Tons of neat things to see, but be prepared to walk.

Really neat if your into Military History or WWII. Lots to see. Main level is basically a Museum but then there is many tours through out the Aircraft Carrier. Plus another ship plus a "Vietnam Experience." Only had time to do some of the Yorktown.

I wish the signage and direction were a little more understandable with out have to find staff or go to the entrance to talk to the staff there. Example, sign at beginning of tours that list things being seen and the path that tour takes along with points to exit early.

We spent hours inside and were so disappointed that we had to leave. We were blown away by how detailed and aesthetically appealing everything was set up in the displays. There is so much to see and it is so worth the money. Don't sell yourself short by only planning to be here for an hour or 2, let yourself see and absorb everything. We left very impressed
