As I typed above, the food tasted good. In fact, it was good enough for me to try the restaurant again to see if this was an off day.
Just ate traditional breakfast! Silverware not clean. Bacon overcooked and stuck together, eggs not thoroughly cooked, coffee good, service ok! Biscuit ok. Not worth 13.50. I expressed my impression to server but instead of complaining I will not return. Not worth money!
Everything is heavy, with hollandaise sauce on fried stuff and quality control is nonexistant. My neice ordered shrimp and grits which were deep fried and smothered in hollandaise I ordered bacon, a side salad and a side of black beans. The bacon was a flavorless, deep fried to a 2.5" crisp square, the beans were sour snd spoied, the salad wilted and 15% black and rotten and a mushroom slice was covered at the root end in big, black clumps of field dirt. I never understand the reviews.
Great little find while we were staying in the Mt. Pleasant area of Charleston. Highly recommended for breakfast! Omelets are delicious and the sweet potato biscuits are amazing. Great service!
I really wanted to love this place, but their coffee was so bad, I can't get the taste out of my mouth. That was 4 hours ago.
The food was good. Had to go to the cashier for a table. Got a "Just you" question and sat by the door. My server was at least smiling and took my order, but failed to ask me if I wanted a coffee. I sipped on my ice water and waited. The A/C was so low that I was freezing. By the time my Southern Breakfast arrived, is was almost cold. I was never checked on or offered a coffee.
The food was great. But that coffee. I just can't give you more than 3 stars until you improve your coffee situation. I'd love to come back, just please serve coffee that doesn't taste like battery acid, OK?
